Assalamualaikum Warahamathulahi Wabarakatuhu
More than natural death, today un-natural accidental deaths are more common among people i.e.., believers. We are very much aware that, each has to “TASTE THE FRUIT OF HIS DEED” which may be good or bad. But, have you ever thought of those who experience accidental deaths ? Accidental deaths means, sudden and un-natural deaths like burning to death (where would experience immense pain), dying due to certain diseases, loosing life while giving birth, dying in a natural disasters, believers who die drowning, who die when protecting their family or property or even while defending his family and religion, car accidents etc. ALLAH the most-merciful has showered his mercy of these people who meet accident deaths and would raise their position to Martyrdom, ALHAMDHULILLAH.
Narrated by Jaabir Ibn ‘Ateek (Radhiallahu anhu) that Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu’Alaihiwassalam) has said that: ” that besides martyrdom for the sake of ALLAH the Almighty (i.e. in the battle field), there are seven other types of martyrs: the victim of plague, the person who drowns, the victim of pleurisy, the victim of an abdominal ailment, the person who is burned, the person who dies beneath a collapsed structure and the woman who dies while giving birth.” [ Abu dawood]
Narrated Abu Huraira (Radhiallahu anhu) that the Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu’Alaihiwassalam) said, “He (a Muslim) who dies of an Abdominal disease is a a martyr, and he who dies of plague is a martyr.” [Sahih Bukhari, Book 71, Hadith# 629]
Narrated Sa’id ibn Zayd (Radhiallahu anhu) that the Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu’Alaihiwassalam) said: “He who is killed while protecting his property is a martyr, and he who is killed while defending his family, or his blood, or his religion is a martyr.” [Abu Dawood, Hadith# 4754]
